Our History

Dyniques Shelties originated in 1974 with the purchase of a little sable sheltie named "Jingles".  A few months later, a blue merle bitch, Gaelyn's Soliquoy "Solo" was purchased as a show dog.  Solo went on to become a champion and both Jingles and Solo obtained their CDs in obedience, with Solo achieving a High in Trial.  A few years later, Folkstone First Edition, a tricolour male, was purchased from Harbor Light Kennels in Washington and went to become a champion and obtain his CD in obedience. He produced one champion offspring.

I am a charter member of the Winnipeg Area Shetland Sheepdog Association (wassa.ca) formed in 1977.  I am also a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association (canadianshelties.ca)

I am extremely proud of my past record, having bred or owned numerous C.K.C conformation champions and many obedience titled Shelties all while remaining a small hobby kennel.
